What is the process for having laser gum surgery?

A periodontist uses a laser to stimulate the healthy tissue around your tooth so it reattaches to the bone. The laser's heat seals the gum with a thermal blood clot that protects it from bacteria or tissue that could cause pockets. Your bite may also be adjusted to prevent grinding.
