Are there alternative treatments for aggressive periodontitis?

There are some lifestyle choices that can reduce your risk of developing aggressive periodontitis:

  • brush teeth twice daily and after every meal;
  • floss daily and rinse with mouthwash;
  • schedule regular dental checkups;
  • reduce intake of sugaryfoods;
  • quit smoking;
  • drink adequate water.

Although lifestyle choices are important for preventing aggressive periodontitis, once the condition develops, more extensive treatments may be required.
