What is nafcillin?

Nafcillin is an antibiotic that treats bacterial infections, including pneumonia, meningitis and infections of the urinary tract, skin, bone, joints, blood and heart valve. The medication is administered through an injection into a large muscle or as an IV drip. This penicillin antibiotic kills bacteria by blocking its production.
