What is Bicillin C-R Tubex?

Bicillin C-R Tubex is the brand name prescription drug that combines procaine and benzathine penicillin into an injectable suspension used to treat severe infections such as staphlococcal and streptococcal infections, gonorrhea, meningitis, and diphtheria. It works by weakening the bacterial cell wall to kill the bacteria. It is administered as an intramuscular injection. Bicillin C-R Tubex is also marketed under the brand name Bicillin C-R. Bicillin C-R comes in powder form and must be mixed into a suspension prior to use.
