Amoxicillin extended-release tablet is an extended-release (ER) formulation of the antibiotic amoxicillin. It is available as the brand name product Moxatag only and is intended for once-daily administration. Amoxicillin is derived from penicillin. It is used to treat infections caused by susceptible bacteria. This includes: strep throat, ear infections, skin infections, urinary tract infections, sinusitis, tonsillitis and others.
