When can I stop taking amoxicillin extended-release tablets?

Amoxicillin extended-release tablets will kill the bacteria causing your infection. You may feel better within a few days of starting to take the tablets. However, you must finish the entire course, usually 10 days. This will clear up your infection completely. It will also prevent the bacteria from developing resistance to the amoxicillin.
