What are the side effects of penicillin V potassium?

Penicillin V potassium (VK) may cause side effects that range from minor to life-threatening. If you have ever had an allergic reaction to penicillin or other medicines, talk to your doctor before taking this medicine. Common side effects include: diarrhea, stomach problems, vomiting and mild skin rash. If these symptoms become severe, or you develop hives, itchy skin, breathing problems or wheezing, swelling of tongue and throat seek, severe stomach cramps or have seizure, get immediate immediate medical attention.
