What are the side effects of oxacillin sodium?

Some side effects may occur with oxacillin sodium. If you have diarrhea or a seriously upset stomach, call your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen. If any side effects such as facial swelling, rash or itching, or difficulty breathing or wheezing occur, seek medical help as these could be signs of a severe allergic reaction. If you have chills or a fever, dizziness or seizures, a sore throat or mouth, or odd bleeding or bruising, see your doctor right away. Additional side effects may include the following: abdominal pain or cramps, abnormal taste perception, anorexia, blood disorders (including anemia), bloody diarrhea, changes to the look and feel of the tongue, convulsions and seizures, colitis, deep vein thrombosis, dry mouth, enterocolitis (inflammation of the intestines) fatigue, flatulence, gastritis, hallucinations, hyperactivity, hyperthermia, injection-site pain, insomnia, itchy eyes, kidney disorders, lethargy, liver problems, nausea, neuromuscular irritability, prolonged muscle relaxation, rectal bleeding, vaginitis, or vomiting.
