What are the side effects of nafcillin?

Tell your doctor if the following side effects of nafcillin worsen or persist:
  • upset stomach
  • diarrhea
  • nausea
  • vomiting
  • pain at the site of injection.
Seek immediate medical attention by calling 911 if you experience any of the following side effects:
  • Symptoms of an allergic reaction, including rash, hives, itching, wheezing, breathing difficulty, chest tightness or swollen face, lips or tongue
  • seizures
Call your doctor right away if you have any of these side effects or symptoms:
  • sore throat
  • bloody stools
  • severe diarrhea
  • abdominal cramping
  • vaginal discharge
  • muscle pain
  • injection site swelling or pain
  • dizziness
  • chills
  • fever
Because other unlisted side effects may occur, tell your doctor about any new symptoms.
