Penicillin V potassium can interact with various drugs and the effects of either one can be increased, decreased, or altered. So, it is important to tell your doctor about all medications you are taking, especially if you are taking any of the following: hormonal birth control, chloramphenicol, methotrexate, probenecid or tetracycline. Be sure to mention all other medications you may be taking, including vitamins, minerals, and herbal supplements. There are no known interactions with food or beverages.
