How is dicloxacillin formulated?

The prescription antibiotic dicloxacillin comes as a capsule and is commonly prescribed for urinary tract infections, lung infections (pneumonia), or bone, ear or skin infections. The capsules should be taken by mouth every six hours, or four times a day. If you have an allergy to penicillin, you may need to take a different antibiotic since dicloxacillin is very similar to penicillin.
