Ampicillin can have side effects such as vomiting, an upset stomach or diarrhea. Be sure to talk to your doctor about any side effects that you experience. Especially if you have more serious side effects like a skin rash, difficulty breathing or dizziness, talk to your doctor immediately. Sometimes side effects can include headaches, wheezing or a sore throat. Any new symptoms should be communicated to your health care provider or doctor to find out if they are related to taking ampicillin.
