How is scabies in children treated?

Dr. Mehmet Oz, MD
Cardiology (Cardiovascular Disease)
To treat scabies in children, look for lines from the little buggers' burrows in between fingers and toes and in the armpits and creases of the groin. The infected area will itch, itch, itch. A lot, lot, lot. Just like lice, scabies is treatable with a topical medicated cream called permethrin. An older version of this medicine, lindane, has more toxicity, so stick to permethrin.
