How are parasitic skin infections diagnosed?

Parasitic skin infection are diagnosed by a physician. The doctor conducts a visual examination of the affected skin and surrounding areas. The doctor will inspect the affected area, looking for moving parasites and eggs. Sometimes, a scraping will be taken of the infested skin area to be checked under a microscope to determine if the rash is indeed caused by parasites and eggs.
