How do I manage acute pancreatitis on a daily basis?

Individuals with acute pancreatitis must be hospitalized. Because eating and drinking cause the pancreas to be stimulated and produce pancreatic enzymes, you will not be able to eat or drink so the pancreas can rest. The doctor will prescribe pain medication along with intravenous fluids and nutrition. After leaving the hospital, do not drink alcohol or use tobacco. Eat a low-fat diet to reduce the chance of gallstones. Drink plenty of water. Use relaxation therapy, yoga, or meditation to help you manage your pain. If your symptoms worsen, contact the doctor immediately.
