What is psychogenic pain?

Psychogenic pain comes from psychological factors rather than from a physical injury. People with psychogenic pain do feel pain but are often unable to specify the exact location or nature of the pain. Sometimes, psychogenic pain develops or is complicated by an actual injury or chronic pain disorder.
