If minimally invasive procedures don’t work in the treatment of overactive bladder, the surgical options include bladder augmentation, urinary diversion and pelvic floor reconstruction. Other surgical options include continent catheterizable stoma, ileal conduit, permanent suprapubic tube or indwelling catheter and pelvic floor reconstruction. These are very rarely used.
