How long and often should I record in a bladder diary?

The length of time to keep a bladder diary depends on you and your doctor. You can start by keeping the diary a few days prior to seeing the doctor. As part of your treatment, your doctor may recommend you keep a diary for several weeks. Don't start immediately before or during your menstrual cycle, and make sure you will not be on vacation.
