How does ofloxacin treat bacterial infections?

Ofloxacin (Floxin, Ocuflox) treats bacterial infections by depriving bacteria of the nutrients or proteins they need to survive, replicate or repair themselves. Ofloxacin stops the body from making those proteins, thereby killing the bacteria.
