The safety and effectiveness of Floxin Otic has been established in children of certain ages with specific conditions: in those six months and older diagnosed with otitis externa who have intact eardrums; in acute otitis media in children one year and older with ear tubes; and for kids 12 and over who have chronic otitis media with discharge and torn eardrums. Safety and efficacy below these ages have not been established.
Although no data are available on patients younger than six months of age, there are no known reasons to avoid using this product with infants of that age.
