What complications are associated with getting clear braces?

Complications associated with getting clear braces are rare and are generally the same as those with traditional braces. Ceramic or plastic brackets can leave spaces between your teeth that can trap food, bacteria, and debris. Eventually, if you don't brush your teeth and floss daily, your teeth could become permanently stained. Also, as your teeth shift, you could lose some of the root length, making your teeth less stable. Also, if you don't follow the directions of your orthodontist after you get your clear braces off, your teeth could move out of alignment.
