How will having metal braces affect the appearance of my teeth?

While you are wearing metal braces, they will be visible. Metal braces have small metal brackets that are bonded, or glued, to the front of the teeth. They are wired together, so it will be obvious that you are wearing braces. Once the braces come off, however, your teeth should be straighter, with no gaps and a corrected bite.
