How do I know if I need clear braces?

You will know if you need clear braces, or perhaps another type of braces, if your teeth are crooked and your bite is misaligned. If your top teeth extend over your bottom teeth, you have an overbite that needs to be corrected with braces. If your top teeth close behind your lower teeth when you bite down, you have an underbite that needs correcting. You may also need your jaw repositioned to help you bite, chew, or speak better. Talk to an orthodontist, a dentist who treats teeth irregularities and misalignments, if you think you might need clear braces.
