What should I know about Navstel before receiving it?

Before receiving balanced salt ophthalmic solution (Navstel), you should tell your doctor if you have diabetes or a history of diabetes. In some people with diabetes, intraoperative lens changes have occurred with use of balanced salt ophthalmic solution. Additionally, there have been reports of corneal clouding and edema with use of balanced salt ophthalmic solution for irrigation during ocular surgery.
