What are the risks of using Zymar?

Zymar is considered safe for most people, however, if you have a known allergy to any fluoroquinolone antibiotics, you may have an allergic reaction to this drug. Using this drug may carry risks to the fetus or infant of pregnant or breastfeeding women and infants under one year of age. You run the risk of infecting your eye further if you allow the tip of the eyedropper to come into contact with external surfaces such as your finger or clothing. Zymar is not expected to interact with other medications; however, tell your doctor if you are taking medications that include: theophylline, warfarin or cyclosporine. Zymar may increase the effects of these medications. Also, Zymar can interfere with caffeine metabolism.
