What is Zymar?

Zymar is a prescription medication used to treat eye infections, such as conjunctivitis, commonly known as pink eye. It is an antibiotic that belongs to a group of drugs called fluoroquinolones, which prevent the bacteria from reproducing and eventually killing the bacteria. The active generic ingredient in Zymar is gatifloxacin. It is administered as an eye drop.
