More serious side effects of flurbiprofen include signs of allergic reaction (chest tightness, trouble breathing, rash, itching, facial swelling, hives, swelling in the mouth or throat); signs of a stroke (confusion, vision or speech changes, numbness of an arm or leg, weakness on one side of the body); chest pain or tightness, or irregular heartbeat; signs of stomach ulcers (vomit that looks like coffee grounds) or internal bleeding (unusual tiredness, fainting, tarry, black or bloody stools); signs of kidney damage (yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, a change in the mount of urine produced); signs of infection (persistent sore throat, chills, or fever); red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin; swelling (edema) or unexplained weight gain; severe stomach upset or vomiting; unusual joint or muscle pain; ringing in the ears; and mental or mood changes. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of these symptoms.
