What are the side effects of olopatadine nasal spray?

Many of the following side effects are rare, but if you experience any of them you should call your health care provider immediately. Side effects of olopatadine nasal spray may include allergic reactions, such as hives, difficulty breathing or swelling of your face, lips, tongue or throat that require immediate medical attention. Other side effects include:

  • nosebleed
  • sores inside your nose
  • pain or burning with urination
  • drowsiness
  • bitter taste in your mouth
  • headaches
  • dry mouth or sore throat
  • a cough
  • sneezing or runny nose
  • weight gain
  • nausea
  • diarrhea 
  • stomach pain
