What are the side effects of Patanase?

Most people do not experience any side effects from Patanase, or only briefly experience drowsiness, bad or bitter taste, headaches, dry mouth, sore throat, cold symptoms, stomach pain and weight gain.  If these side effects become severe or do not go away, talk to your doctor. Serious side effects include: nosebleed, sores inside the nose, hole in the nasal septum and burning or painful urination.  Like all medications, Patanase may cause unexpected side effects that are not listed here. If you experience anything unusual while using Patanase, talk to your doctor immediately. In rare cases, an allergic reaction to olopatadine, the active ingredient in Patanase, may occur. Stop using Patanase, and call 911 if you experience any of these severe allergic reaction symptoms: swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing.
