Who should not use bromfenac ophthalmic solution?

People who are allergic to bromfenac ophthalmic solution should not use this medication.

This medication should be used cautiously in children aged younger than 18 years, since its safety has not been determined for this age group.

Bromfenac ophthalmic solution might harm an unborn child, especially during late pregnancy, and it is unknown if it passes into breast milk. Make sure to tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or nursing.

You should not use bromfenac ophthalmic solution when you are wearing contact lenses, since it may have a preservative that is absorbed by soft contacts.

Tell your doctor if you have any medical conditions, particularly if you are allergic to this medication, aspirin or any anti-inflammatory medication (such as ibuprofen), a phenylacetic acid derivative, sulfites, or any medication, food, dyes, preservatives, etc.

Also tell your doctor your medical history, particularly regarding asthma, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, nose growths (polyps), or bleeding problems, as well as eye issues (such as dry eye or corneal issues), or if you have had any previous eye surgeries.
