Does polymyxin B interact with other medications and foods?

Polymyxin B may interact with aminoglycoside antibiotics, neomycin, paramomycin, amikacin, kanamycin, muscle relaxants, anesthesia medications, bacitracin, gentamicin, colistin, live vaccines, verteporfin, vancomycin, sodium citrate, streptomycin, tobramycin, some diuretics and quinine. Before using polymyxin B tell your doctor about all of the prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, vitamins and herbal supplements you are taking. Tell your doctor if you drink alcohol or smoke.
