What should I know about ketotifen before taking it?

Ketotifen is a very safe drug and overdose is unlikely. It should not be used to treat irritation resulting from contact lenses. You should not use it if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in whatever preparation of ketotifen you have. Wait 10 minutes if you wear contact lenses after instilling ketotifen before inserting your contact lenses.
