What should I know about olopatadine ophthalmic before I use it?

Before using olopatadine ophthalmic solution, you should be aware of the following safety information:

Some medicines can interfere with the effectiveness of olopatadine ophthalmic solution. (Be sure to tell your doctor about other medications that you are taking.)
Olopatadine ophthalmic solution contains a preservative that can be absorbed by soft contact lenses. (If you wear contact lenses, wait at least 10 minutes after applying olopatadine ophthalmic solution before inserting your lenses.)
Be sure to discuss any allergies or other medical conditions you have with your doctor, particularly any eye infections.
Talk to your doctor about the risks and side effects associated with this drug.
