What should I know about Cortisporin Otic Solution before using it?

Cortisporin Otic Solution is used to treat ear infections caused by bacteria. Even if your symptoms improve, it is important to use Cortisporin Otic Solution for the entire time prescribed. Stopping treatment early may make it more difficult to treat future bacterial ear infections. You should not use Cortisporin Otic Solution if you have any other ear problems, including a punctured ear drum. Using Cortisporin Otic Solution can make these conditions worse. Long-term or repeated use of Cortisporin Otic Solution may lead to a secondary infection. You should not use Cortisporin Otic Solution for more than 10 days unless told otherwise by your doctor.
