Ketorolac tromethamine can interact with a number of other medications: Angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, methotrexate, diuretics, and pentoxifyline may increase its effect on the kidneys. Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) increase the chances of gastrointestinal bleeding. Psychoactive drugs may cause hallucinations. Ketorolac tromethamine may increase the chance of having a seizure for people who take antiepileptic drugs. Care should be taken when administering the drug along with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or with lithium. Interactions may also exist with major tranquilizers and with probenecid.
