Is Lucentis (ranibizumab) safe for pregnant or breast-feeding women?

Currently, no long-term, conclusive studies have been done to show that it is safe for pregnant or nursing women to take Lucentis (ranibizumab). Therefore, Lucentis may not be recommended for pregnant or nursing women. Talk to your doctor about alternative treatments if you are pregnant or nursing.
