How should I use Alamast?

You should use Alamast eye drops exactly as directed by your doctor. Typically, this will be one or two drops in each eye four times daily.

First, always wash your hands before using. To apply the drops, tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower lid. Hold the dropper above your eye and look up and away from it. Squeeze one drop, then close your eye and press gently against the inner corner for a minute to keep the medicine from draining out. If you are supposed to apply more than one drop, wait at least five minutes and then repeat the process. Be careful not to let the dropper touch your hand, your eye or any other surface; this could contaminate the dropper and cause an eye infection. Do not apply the drops while wearing contact lenses. If you are uncertain about how to apply the drops, ask your doctor or pharmacist to show you.
