What are the side effects of zinc sulfate?

Mild side effects of zinc sulfate include nausea, heartburn, and upset stomach.

Zinc sulfate can also produce severe side effects such as weakness, breathing problems, chest pain, ulcers and sores in the mouth, fatigue, fever, vomiting, chills, faintness, sore throat, and an allergic reaction. The signs of an allergic reaction are hives, difficulty breathing, and swelling in the face or mouth.

Symptoms of an overdose include nausea, violent vomiting, dehydration, and restlessness.
