Zymar is considered safe for most people, however, if you have a known allergy to any fluoroquinolone antibiotics, you may have an allergic reaction to this drug. Using this drug may carry risks to the fetus or infant of pregnant or breastfeeding women and infants under one year of age. You run the risk of infecting your eye further if you allow the tip of the eyedropper to come into contact with external surfaces such as your finger or clothing. Zymar is not expected to interact with other medications; however, tell your doctor if you are taking medications that include: theophylline, warfarin or cyclosporine. Zymar may increase the effects of these medications. Also, Zymar can interfere with caffeine metabolism.

1 AnswerDarria Gillespie, MD , Emergency Medicine, answeredNSAIDs also raise a person's risk of heart problems, such as heart attacks and heart failure. Because people with RA already have a higher risk of heart problems, NSAIDs are given for RA less often. Some recent studies suggest NSAIDs may be less risky for people with RA than for others. But this has not been clearly proven, and doctors continue to recommend cautious, short-term use.
In any case, if an NSAID is part of your RA treatment plan, your doctor will most likely have you stop taking it as soon as your DMARDs and other drug treatments have gotten your RA symptoms under control.

2 AnswersStacy Wiegman, PharmD , Pharmacy, answeredCellulose is a prescription eye insert that belongs to a class of medications called artificial tears. It is placed in the eye to treat dry, irritated eyes. It is also used to treat decreased corneal sensitivity and keratitis. It works by helping maintain eye moisture, which protects the eye from infections, injury, and the symptoms of dry eyes. Cellulose is often prescribed when the solution version of artificial tears does not relieve symptoms. Cellulose is also found under the brand name Lacrisert.

Lucentis (ranibizumab) is a prescription medication that is used to treat neovascular (wet) age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Wet AMD usually affects people who are older than age 50 and causes vision loss in the central area of the eye. Lucentis works by stopping blood vessel growth that causes wet AMD and is given by a doctor through a shot in the eye once a month. This medication can help restore vision in people with wet AMD.
