What should I avoid while taking Ryzolt?

While you're taking Ryzolt (tramadol extended-release tablets), you should avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how the drug will affect your mental and/or physical abilities. You should also avoid drinking alcohol or taking other central nervous system depressants, since doing so can increase the chance of serious side effects. Other drugs can increase the risk of side effects if you take them along with Ryzolt. Drugs to avoid include:
  • sedatives or hypnotics
  • general anesthetics
  • phenothiazines
  • tranquilizers
  • muscle relaxants
  • antidepressants
  • other opioids or narcotic pain medicines
  • triptans, often used for migraines
