What should I avoid while taking Opana?

Avoid breaking, crushing, dissolving, chewing or consuming Opana extended release in any way other than as a whole pill. Consuming Opana extended release in any way other than as a whole pill may result in the release of a fatal overdose of oxymorphone. Avoid all forms of alcohol, as they can also cause an oxymorphone overdose. Avoid medications that reduce the effectiveness of Opana.

Do not become pregnant or breastfeed while on Opana. Stay hydrated and eat plenty of fiber, as Opana can cause constipation when taken over a prolonged period of time.
