What side effects of fentanyl buccal tablets should I report to my doctor?

Fentanyl buccal tablets may cause a long list of side effects such as drowsiness, heartburn and others. If any side effect becomes serious and persistent, tell your doctor. Contact your doctor right away if you develop any of the following side effects:

  • breathing difficulty or slow, shallow breathing
  • extreme drowsiness
  • dizziness or fainting
  • confusion
  • rapid heartbeat or heartbeat that is slower than normal
  • seizures
