How should I take Opana?

Take Opana as your doctor directs. You must take Opana extended release as a whole tablet. Your initial dose should not exceed 20 mg. Breaking, crushing, dissolving, chewing or consuming Opana in any way other than as a whole pill, may result in the release of a fatal overdose of oxymorphone. Do not combine Opana with any form of alcohol because the combination can be fatal.

Do not take Opana with food. Take Opana one hour or more before eating and two hours or more after eating.
