How does fentanyl buccal tablet interact with other medications or food?

Do not drink alcohol with this fentanyl because it can increase your risk of dangerous side effects. Do not drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruit products while using this medication. Your doctor can tell you if it's all right for you to take a specific medicine along with fentanyl buccal tablet. Be cautious about taking other medicines that make you drowsy, such as some medications for depression, other pain medicines, medications for anxiety, sleeping pills, some allergy medications or tranquilizers. Do not use this drug if you have taken a medication known as a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI), such as phenelzine (Nardil), selegiline (Eldepryl, Emsam), isocarboxazid (Marplan), rasagiline (Azilect) or tranylcypromine (Parnate) within the past two weeks.
