Talk to your doctor before taking the prescription pain medication Ultram (tramadol) with a tricyclic antidepressant, such as amitriptyline, desipramine, doxepin, imipramine and nortriptyline. Combining these medications may increase your risk of seizures. Your doctor may need to modify your medication plan, dosage or timing.
