Can I use Subutex if I have a history of prostate problems?

If you have a history of prostate problems, talk to your doctor before taking Subutex (buprenorphine), a medicine that treats addiction to opioid drugs, including heroin and narcotic painkillers like morphine. Men who have an enlarged prostate gland or other prostate problems may be at increased risk of potentially serious side effects from taking Subutex.

Before you start taking Subutex, give your doctor a detailed medical history, including current and past health problems.
