Can I use Nucynta if I have a history of seizures?

The pain medication Nucynta (tapentadol) can cause seizures in people who have epilepsy or are otherwise at risk for having convulsions. Discuss your condition with your doctor before taking Nucynta. He or she may decide to give you a different drug to manage your chronic pain. If you have a seizure while taking Nucynta, your doctor should be contacted immediately.
