Can I use Avinza if I am taking procarbazine?

You shouldn't use the painkiller Avinza (morphine) if you're taking the anticancer drug procarbazine (Matulane) or if you have taken it in the last 14 days. Procarbazine can increase the effect Avinza has on your body and lead to serious overdose symptoms such as slow or shallow breathing, low blood pressure, seizures, shock and coma. If you've taken procarbazine, tell your doctor before you start Avinza.
