Can I use Subutex if I am taking acetaminophen?

If you are taking acetaminophen, check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking Subutex (buprenorphine), a medicine that helps treat addiction to opioid drugs such as heroin, morphine and other narcotic painkillers. Acetaminophen may interact with Subutex, potentially causing side effects or affecting how well the drugs work.

Before taking Subutex, give your doctor and pharmacist a list of all your other medicines (prescription and nonprescription) and dietary and herbal supplements. Once you're on Subutex, do not take any new medication or supplement without checking with your doctor or pharmacist first.
