Can I use Rybix ODT if I am taking muscle relaxants?

If you're currently taking muscle relaxants, tell your doctor about them before you begin taking Rybix ODT (tramadol). Rybix ODT, which is prescribed to relieve moderate to moderately severe chronic pain, depresses activity in the central nervous system, or CNS (the brain, spinal cord and nerves). Other types of drugs, including muscle relaxants such as carisoprodol (Soma) and metaxalone (Skelaxin), can worsen depression of the CNS and lead to potentially dangerous side effects. Give your doctor a list of all medications you take (including over-the-counter drugs and supplements) before you begin using Rybix ODT.
